What's the story behind River District Antique Mall?
Ohh! There are so many:
- 2004 - Opened as The Old Wood Furniture Company
- 2007 - Expanded into the "River District Antique Mall" featuring nine dealers
- 2008 - Second expansion, adding eight more dealers
- 2010 - Continuing to expand with 19 quality dealers
What kind of things will I find at your shop?
Each of our dealers have their own specialties from fishing lures to furniture and prom dresses to porcelain, chances are we'll have something you're looking for.
What if I'm looking for something really specific?
Chances are that if we don't have a particular item you're looking for, we may know exactly where to find it for you!
What types of furniture do you specialize in?
Our furniture is mostly "saved pieces" from 1870 to 1920, although we occasionally carry older and newer pieces of note.
What does "saved piece" mean?
"Saved piece" means an item has been rescued and restored to some extent. When necessary, stripped and refinished, sometimes just cleaned and waxed. As needed, new pieces will be fabricated to make something whole again. Original hardware is always saved and reinstalled, if at all possible. The goal is for every piece to look original, be usable and beautiful.
What else will I find if I take a road trip to your shop?
We carry lots of of antique 'this n' thats' and unusual items that can be just collected or used to compliment your home. Also featured are new items that have a retro or vintage look that can be used for decorating or dresing up a space.

Do you handle appraisals?
We do not give formal appraisals, but we will can informally tell you what it's worth. We offer tons of free advice and can point you in the direction of more resources.
Do you ever deal in architectural salvage?
Yes! We do deal in architectural salvage and accent items when we get them. It will be listed and pictured on our site when in stock.
